A different
kind of practice.

This is not a performance. It is not a philosophy to be debated or a belief system to be defended. It is simply the practice of sitting — breathing — and expanding the heart toward what is true.

I
Loving Kindness
Metta · The open hand

Sit. Breathe. Begin with yourself — wish yourself well without condition. Then let it move outward: to those you love, to those you know, to those you've never met. Arrive at the image of every living person moving through their day from a place of kindness toward one another. Hold that. Let it be more than a wish — let it be a practice of seeing what is possible.

II
Unconditional Love
The Universe · God · The unnamed

Sit. Breathe. Open to something larger than yourself — whatever name you give it, or no name at all. Imagine being held by a love that has no conditions, no edges, no end. Not earned. Not owed. Simply present, the way light is simply present. Rest inside that. Let the boundary between self and source become soft.

III
Bearing Witness
Compassion · Sitting with the weight of others

Sit. Breathe. Allow yourself to feel the fear that someone else is carrying right now — the mother who doesn't know how to pay the rent, the man who has lost his sense of purpose, the child who doesn't feel safe. Do not fix it. Do not turn away. Sit with their pain as if it were your own, because in the deepest sense it is. This is how the heart grows its capacity.

IV
Surrender
Trust · Faith · Letting go of the outcome

Sit. Breathe. Release the grip. Not because things are fine, but because the practice of holding on has never made them more so. Move through each layer of what you are carrying — the plans, the fears, the need to know — and practice setting them down. What remains when you stop insisting? That remainder is worth knowing. That is where trust lives.

The practice is not about arriving anywhere. It is about learning to be here — fully, openly, without resistance — one breath at a time.
